Hi! I’m Angélica, a language professional passionate about intercultural communication with a solid background in translation, interpreting, and transcreation. My personal and professional journey has taken me from my native Venezuela to Italy, where I have been immersed in the world of languages since 2013.

My love for communication was forged during my years as a journalist in Venezuela. This experience allowed me to build a solid foundation in clear and concise writing, thorough research, and the ability to effectively convey messages to diverse audiences. Today, although my main focus is professional translation and interpreting, journalism remains a valuable resource that enriches my daily work.

Education and professional focus

My academic background includes two five-year degrees, studied simultaneously at Venezuela’s two most important universities (UCV and UCAB): one in Social Communication, specializing in Journalism, and the other in Modern Languages, specializing in Translation and Interpreting. In addition, I have a master’s degree in Migratory processes, diversity, Multiculturalism and Integration, which gives me a deep understanding of the intercultural dynamics that influence communication.

For me, translation and interpreting go far beyond mere mastery of grammar. This profession requires a high understanding of the mindset, cultural codes, and subtleties of each language. Therefore, continuous updating and constant learning are fundamental pillars of my professional practice.

My added value: a journalistic perspective

My experience as a journalist gives me a distinctive value. The skills of rigorous research, analysis, effective writing, connecting ideas, contrasting information, knowing how to ask questions and observe, critical thinking, and clear and coherent communication are tools that I apply to every translation and interpreting project.

To be a journalist is to communicate ideas so that they are easy to understand. By the same token, to translate and interpret is to transmit ideas so that they are easy to understand – but across cultures as well.

University professor

Since 2025, I have been a professor at the Universidad Central Venezuela, teaching the following subjects for the Bachelor’s Degree in Modern Languages:
